The Meiduk copper project is expected to become operational within a month with a capacity of 150,000 tons of copper concentrate per annum. The project was launched in 1999 with an approximate budget of 95 million dollars and 1,500 billion rials. It was supposed to become operational last year but was delayed due to some problems with the foreign parties.
